Mr. Klevansky’s practice emphasizes commercial law, business litigation, bankruptcy law and reorganization, fraudulent transfers, and creditors’ rights. He counsels corporate and individual clients related to collection and payment of secured and unsecured claims and judgments, foreclosures and other post-judgment remedies through litigation, arbitration and less formal proceedings.Mr. Klevansky graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor's of Arts degree. He later graduated from Stanford Law School (1977) where he earned his juris doctor degree. After graduating from law school, Mr. Klevansky was a law clerk to the Honorable Robert F. Utter of the Washington State Supreme Court, and was a Visiting Fellow for the Center for Law in the Public Interest.Mr. Klevansky previously served as President and Director of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association. Now an active member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, Mr. Klevansky previously was admitted to the State Bar of California and the Washington State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the District of Hawaii, the Central District of California, and the Western District of Washington, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.Mr. Klevansky has achieved the highest “AV” rating by Martindale Hubbell, is listed in "Hawaii Super Lawyers Magazine" (since 2008), Chambers and Partners USA Guide (as a leading lawyer in Bankruptcy/Restructuring), and in “Best Lawyers in America” since 1995. Mr. Klevansky has served as a director and vice-president of the Hawaii branch of the International Dyslexia Association.
