Competent on corporate matters, but communication could improve

I engaged Shannon Baldwin at Bracewell to assist with the acquisition of a small local business in Austin. Her knowledge of M&A and corporate law was evident, and she handled the due diligence and contract review capably. It's clear why she's recognized in those areas. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the legal work was solid, there were occasional delays in receiving responses to emails, which added some stress to our timeline. For straightforward corporate transactions, Shannon is a knowledgeable attorney who gets the job done. For clients who need more frequent touchpoints or are navigating a particularly complex deal, setting clear expectations on communication from the outset would be advisable.
