Competent real estate guidance, but communication could improve

I hired Shane Griffin at Brownstein Hyatt to assist with a complex commercial property purchase in Denver. His knowledge of Colorado real estate law was evident, and his background from the University of Colorado Law School provided a solid foundation. He successfully navigated several title issues and contract contingencies, which was crucial. His firm's recognition in real estate law is well-deserved based on the technical skill he demonstrated. However, for a three-year attorney, I expected more proactive communication. There were periods of several days where I received no updates, and responses to emails were sometimes slower than I'd hoped, requiring a follow-up. The work product was thorough, but the process felt somewhat transactional. He is clearly capable and knows the material, but managing client expectations and maintaining a consistent dialogue are areas for growth. He resolved my matter adequately, but the experience was more functional than exceptional.
