Adequate representation for a complex IP licensing dispute

Scott Llewellyn at Morrison Foerster handled a contentious intellectual property licensing dispute for our Denver-based tech firm. His deep background in IP and patent litigation, backed by his 20+ years of experience, was evident in the strategic approach he developed. The legal arguments he crafted were solid, and his recognition in Best Lawyers for these practice areas is well-deserved. However, our experience was mixed. While the legal work was competent, communication was sometimes a challenge. Responses to emails could take several days, and updates often felt reactive rather than proactive. For a firm of this caliber, we expected a more consistent client interface. The outcome of our matter was acceptable, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative. He is clearly a knowledgeable attorney, but managing client expectations could be improved.
