Debra Brown
Our company engaged Scott Ludwig at Bradley Arant to assist with the sale of our small biotech firm in Huntsville. With his 40+ years of experience and recognition in corporate law and business organizations, we felt confident in his technical expertise. He was thorough in drafting the asset purchase agreement and his knowledge of the tax implications was evident. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the legal work was solid, we often experienced significant delays in receiving responses to our emails, which created anxiety during a time-sensitive negotiation. His advice, when we received it, was always sound, particularly regarding the LLC structure nuances, but we sometimes felt we had to push for updates. For straightforward corporate transactions, his deep background from the University of Florida LLM program and long tenure are clear assets. We achieved a successful closing, but the process required more proactive management on our part than we anticipated.
