Competent IP attorney, but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Sarah Sue Landau at Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman to handle a trademark opposition proceeding. Her technical knowledge in intellectual property law is evident, and her background, including her recognition in Best Lawyers for IP Litigation, gave me confidence in her capability. She understood the nuances of the case and her analysis of the likelihood of confusion was thorough. The work product was solid. However, the experience was somewhat mixed on the service side. There were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, and at times I felt I had to follow up to get status updates. While the legal strategy was sound, I would have appreciated more proactive communication about timelines and next steps. For straightforward IP matters, she is certainly knowledgeable and got the job done, but managing client expectations could be improved.
