I hired Sarah Martin at Fasken to assist with the due diligence and asset purchase agreement for acquiring a small local competitor. The final documents were technically sound. However, for a process that felt very high-stakes to us, the communication was sometimes slower than I'd hoped, with occasional delays in returning calls or emails. While her one year of experience showed in her diligent work on the file, there were moments where clearer guidance on timeline expectations would have been beneficial.
