Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I engaged Sarah Chia at Kain Lawyers for assistance with structuring a commercial agreement for my small agricultural supply business in Nashville. Her background in commercial law and the recognition she's received in that field were the primary reasons for my choice. During our engagement, Sarah demonstrated clear expertise. She efficiently identified potential pitfalls in the draft contract I brought to her, particularly around liability clauses, and her revisions were thorough and precise. Her nearly decade of experience was evident in her practical approach to risk mitigation. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Response times to emails were often slower than I would have preferred, sometimes taking several business days, which created anxiety during time-sensitive negotiations. While her legal advice was sound, the explanations sometimes felt a bit rushed, leaving me with follow-up questions I had to press for. She is undoubtedly a capable attorney who achieved the core legal objective, and her award-winning background in private equity and commercial matters speaks to her skill. For straightforward matters where immediate, constant communication isn't critical, she is a solid choice. For my needs, the legal work was excellent, but the client service aspect felt merely adequate, which is why I'm giving a balanced, middle-of-the-road rating.
