Competent in real estate matters, but communication could improve

Sam Friedman at Dentons Sirote handled the commercial lease negotiation for my small business. His knowledge of Alabama real estate law and the UCC was evident, and his 18 years of experience provided solid footing for the transaction. The final documents were thorough, reflecting the recognition he's received in this field. However, the process felt somewhat transactional. There were periods of several days where I didn't receive updates unless I initiated contact, and getting a call returned sometimes took longer than expected. While I felt legally protected and the outcome was satisfactory, the client experience was more functional than collaborative. He is undoubtedly a skilled attorney, but setting clearer expectations on response times would elevate his service.
