Competent on the banking matter, but communication was inconsistent

I engaged Sal Perrotto at Paul Hastings to assist with a complex loan restructuring for my small business. His technical knowledge of banking and finance law was evident, and he clearly understood the nuances of creditor rights, which aligns with the recognition he's received in those fields. The documents he drafted were thorough and precise. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While Sal was sharp during our meetings, there were significant delays in receiving email responses, sometimes stretching several business days, which added to my stress during time-sensitive negotiations. For a junior attorney with his education from NYU and two years at a major firm, I expected a slightly more proactive communication style. He capably handled the legal work, but the client service aspect felt just adequate. He resolved our core issue, but the process could have been smoother with better updates on his progress.
