Experienced but Communication Could Improve

I engaged S. Wesley Butler for a complex arbitration matter in Austin, and while his legal expertise was evident—particularly given his Best Lawyers recognition—I found the communication less responsive than expected. The case involved intricate contract disputes, and while his knowledge of arbitration procedures was solid, updates were often delayed. His analysis of the case was thorough, and his familiarity with Texas arbitration laws was a clear asset. However, the back-and-forth was slower than I'd hoped, and some of my questions went unanswered for days. The final resolution was favorable, but the process felt less streamlined than it could have been. For someone with his credentials, I expected more attentive client engagement. That said, his strategic approach in arbitration was undeniably strong, and I’d consider him for future disputes where thoroughness outweighs immediate responsiveness.
