Competent on IP matters, but communication could improve

Ryan Letson at Bradley Arant in Huntsville handled a trademark opposition for my software company. His knowledge of the USPTO process and his background in intellectual property law were evident, and the outcome was satisfactory. He is clearly recognized in his field for a reason. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. There were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, leaving me to follow up. While his legal strategy was sound, I sometimes felt a bit out of the loop on procedural next steps. For straightforward IP prosecution, he gets the job done, but I expected more proactive updates given his 13 years of experience and firm's reputation.
