Competent employment law advice, but communication could improve

I hired Ruth Horvatich at McGrath North to advise my small business on a complex employee termination issue. Her credentials are impressive, and her 14 years of experience in employment law management, backed by her recognition from Best Lawyers, gave me confidence. She provided a thorough analysis of the risks involved and drafted solid documentation, which ultimately protected the company. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Response times to emails were sometimes slower than I would have liked, often taking several business days. While her legal advice was sound, I sometimes felt the practical, step-by-step guidance on implementation was a bit abbreviated, leaving me to fill in some operational gaps. For straightforward legal matters, she is clearly knowledgeable and capable, but the overall client service and proactive communication felt just adequate for the premium rate.
