Ross Bextermueller at KMK handled the acquisition of a small manufacturing company for our private equity group. His technical knowledge of the deal process, especially given his M&A recognition, was solid and the transaction closed successfully. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. At times, there were noticeable delays in receiving responses to our emails, and explanations of certain governance points felt rushed. For a straightforward deal, his 14 years of experience and dual J.D./M.B.A. background certainly provided a capable foundation. We achieved our business objective, but the client service aspect felt just adequate, lacking the proactive communication we expected for the engagement's complexity.
