Competent handling of a contract dispute, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Roger Slade at Haber Law to assist my small business with a contract dispute with a supplier. His background in commercial litigation, including the recognition he's received in that field, was a primary factor in my decision. Roger demonstrated a solid understanding of the legal issues at play. He was able to effectively analyze the contract terms and outline our position, which ultimately led to a favorable settlement without needing to go to court. His legal strategy was sound. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While his legal analysis was sharp, the day-to-day communication was less consistent than I had hoped. There were periods of several days where I received no updates, and I often had to follow up multiple times to get a response to my emails. This created some unnecessary anxiety during the process. Additionally, while his advice was always correct, his explanations sometimes felt rushed, as if he was moving on to the next case. For straightforward commercial matters, Roger has the legal acumen from his years since graduating Brooklyn Law School to get the job done. Just be prepared to manage your own expectations regarding client communication and be proactive in seeking updates. He is a capable attorney, but the client service aspect felt merely adequate.
