Indispensable Guide Through a Complex Environmental Due Diligence

Our company was in the final stages of acquiring a large industrial property in Central Florida when a routine Phase I ESA revealed potential soil contamination issues. The deal was at serious risk. We were referred to Robyn Neely at Akerman, and it was the best decision we could have made. With her 38 years of deep, specialized experience in environmental site contamination tied to real estate transactions, Robyn immediately understood the nuances of our situation. She didn't just review the reports; she guided our entire strategy. Her knowledge of both the legal framework and the practical realities of remediation in Florida was unparalleled. She expertly negotiated with the seller's counsel and navigated discussions with regulatory agencies, crafting protective provisions for the purchase agreement and leasebacks that shielded us from unforeseen liability. Her calm, methodical approach turned a potential deal-breaker into a manageable, closed transaction. It’s no surprise she has been consistently recognized as a Lawyer of the Year in Environmental Law. Robyn is more than an attorney; she is a strategic partner who protects your interests with formidable expertise and genuine dedication.
