A competent attorney with some communication delays

I hired Rob Stoney from Blankingship & Keith to handle a product liability case involving a defective medical device. His deep expertise in this area, evidenced by his multiple 'Lawyer of the Year' recognitions in Washington, D.C., was immediately apparent. With over two decades of experience, he had a clear command of the complex legal and technical issues. His analysis of the manufacturer's liability was thorough, and his strategy felt sound. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Communication was sometimes slower than I would have liked; there were periods of several days where I wouldn't receive updates on case developments, which added to my stress. While his legal work was solid, managing client expectations around timelines and responsiveness felt like an area for improvement. For someone with his prestigious background from William & Mary and his firm's reputation, I expected a slightly more seamless client experience. He is undoubtedly a skilled litigator in product liability, and I believe he worked diligently on my behalf, but the administrative and communication aspects were merely adequate.
