A solid, experienced attorney with some communication delays

I engaged Robert Schoenberg of Riker Danzig to handle a complex trademark dispute for my small business. His deep experience was immediately apparent; his 48 years of practice and recognition, including the recent Lawyer of the Year award for Trademark Law, gave me confidence in his technical ability. He provided a thorough analysis of our case, drawing on his extensive background in intellectual property litigation, and his strategic advice during negotiations was sound. Ultimately, we reached a satisfactory resolution. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While Mr. Schoenberg is clearly a master of his craft, communication was sometimes slower than I would have preferred. Responses to emails could take several days, and there were instances where I felt I had to follow up to get updates on case developments. For the premium rate, I expected more proactive communication. His expertise is undeniable, and he is certainly a formidable attorney for complex commercial and IP matters in New Jersey. If you are a client who prioritizes sheer legal acumen over hand-holding and are prepared for a more traditional, less immediately responsive attorney-client dynamic, he is a competent choice. My three-star rating reflects this balance of high-level competence and adequate, but not exceptional, client service.
