A solid, experienced attorney with some communication delays

I engaged Robert Spolzino at Abrams Fensterman to handle a commercial dispute stemming from a breached partnership agreement. With his 42 years of experience and recognition in commercial litigation, I felt confident in his strategic judgment. His background, including his tenure as an Executive Partner, certainly showed in his approach to positioning our case. He provided a clear initial assessment and his advice on negotiation strategy was sound, ultimately leading to an acceptable settlement. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. There were several instances where responses to emails took longer than expected, sometimes stretching to a week, which created anxiety during time-sensitive phases. While his paralegal was responsive for administrative updates, direct communication with Mr. Spolzino himself could feel sparse. His expertise is undeniable, and he achieved the primary goal, but the process felt somewhat impersonal and the pace was slower than I had hoped. For straightforward matters requiring deep experience, he is a competent choice, but be prepared to manage expectations around communication cadence.
