Competent on insurance dispute, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Mr. Boepple to handle a commercial property insurance claim dispute after my business suffered significant water damage. The insurer was initially denying coverage based on a policy exclusion. Gene's background in insurance law, and his recognition in that field from what I understand, was evident in his grasp of the technical policy language and Texas regulations. He successfully negotiated a settlement that covered most of our repair costs, which was the primary goal. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. There were periods of several days where I received no response to my emails, and getting a clear timeline for the next steps was often difficult. For a three-year attorney at a firm like Akerman, I expected a bit more proactive communication and management of client expectations. He is clearly knowledgeable, particularly for someone with his level of experience coming out of Gonzaga, and he achieved a positive result. But the process felt more reactive than collaborative. He's competent in the legal work for insurance matters, but the client service aspect could be more polished.
