Recognized in Best Lawyers since 1991
Stephanie Baker
I retained Mr. Watters when my nursing license was under review by the Missouri Board of Nursing following an incident report at my hospital. His nearly five decades of experience in health care law, including his recognition in Best Lawyers, was immediately apparent. He provided a solid, strategic defense that resulted in a favorable outcome with no disciplinary action. His knowledge of the regulatory landscape is undeniable. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. Communication was primarily through his paralegal, and responses to my emails often took several business days. While I never doubted his legal competence, I had hoped for more direct guidance and reassurance throughout what was a very stressful personal process. For straightforward regulatory matters, he is certainly capable, but manage your expectations regarding client service.
