Competent on construction issues, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Richard Bergeron of Cain Lamarre to assist with a contract dispute with a subcontractor on a commercial renovation project in Indianapolis. His background in Construction Law was evident; he understood the technical aspects of the delay claims and had a solid strategy for negotiation. His recognition in this specific field is well-deserved. However, my experience was mixed. While the legal outcome was satisfactory, there were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, and I sometimes felt I had to follow up to get updates. For straightforward construction matters, he provides capable representation, but managing client expectations on process and communication could be improved. He is knowledgeable, but the service aspect felt just adequate.
