Adequate representation in a non-compete dispute

I hired Rich Millisor at Fisher Phillips to handle a non-compete agreement dispute with my former employer in Columbus. His 15 years of experience in labor and employment law were evident; he clearly understood the legal landscape and his recognition in management-side employment law gave me confidence. The strategy he outlined was sound and we achieved a settlement that protected my ability to work. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. Communication was not as proactive as I would have liked—there were periods where I had to follow up for updates, and responses sometimes took a couple of days. While his legal expertise is solid and he got the job done, the client service aspect felt just adequate. For a straightforward matter where you need competent counsel, he is a viable option, but manage your expectations regarding ongoing dialogue.
