Competent on the M&A details, but communication was inconsistent

Rebecca Cochrane at Wildeboer Dellelce LLP assisted my small tech firm with a recent acquisition. Her technical grasp of the M&A process was evident; she clearly understands the complexities of these transactions, which aligns with her recognition in that field. During the due diligence phase, she was thorough in identifying potential liabilities in the target company's contracts, and her drafting of specific reps and warranties was precise. However, the experience was mixed. While the legal work was solid, communication often had significant lags. It was sometimes difficult to get a status update without multiple follow-ups, and responses to emails could take several business days, which added stress during tight negotiation windows. For a straightforward deal, her three years of experience and focused background were sufficient to get us to closing. I felt the core legal work was handled competently, but the overall client service and responsiveness felt more like a baseline offering than a standout feature. She is a capable attorney for the nuts and bolts of a merger, but you need to be prepared to manage the communication flow proactively.
