Competent on corporate matters, but communication could improve

I engaged Rafael Hernández-Miranda at O'Neill & Borges to assist with the acquisition of a small local business here in Columbus. His background in Corporate and M&A Law, including the recognition from Best Lawyers, was evident in the thoroughness of the due diligence and contract structuring. The legal work product was solid and he clearly knows his field. However, my experience was mixed. While the final outcome was satisfactory, there were noticeable delays in receiving responses to emails, sometimes taking several business days. This created some anxiety during time-sensitive negotiations. Additionally, the billing process felt somewhat opaque for a straightforward transaction. He is a knowledgeable attorney who delivered on the core legal needs, but the overall client service and communication tempo fell short of expectations for a firm of this caliber.
