Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I engaged R. Michael Barry at Arnall Golden Gregory to assist with a complex contractual matter related to a new medical equipment supply agreement for my small clinic. Mr. Barry's decade of experience and his recognition in the health care law field were immediately apparent. His analysis of the regulatory compliance clauses was thorough, and he clearly leveraged his background from the University of Georgia School of Law effectively. The final documents were solid and protected our interests well. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. There were several instances where responses to emails took longer than expected, sometimes stretching to three or four business days, which created anxiety during time-sensitive negotiations. While his legal advice was sound, the overall client management and proactive communication felt just adequate. For straightforward matters requiring deep healthcare legal expertise, he is certainly capable. Yet, for clients who prioritize frequent updates and a more responsive dialogue, expectations may need to be managed. He completed the work competently, but the process lacked the seamless communication I had hoped for from a firm of this caliber in Atlanta.
