Competent on aviation matters, but communication was inconsistent

I engaged Pierre Frühling of HFW's Denver office for a complex aircraft leasing dispute. His deep expertise in aviation law was immediately apparent; his analysis of the international regulatory framework, particularly referencing precedents from his extensive practice in Paris, was thorough and gave us confidence. His recognition as Lawyer of the Year in Aviation Law clearly speaks to his technical mastery. However, the experience was mixed. While the legal strategy he devised was sound and ultimately led to a satisfactory settlement, practical aspects of the client relationship were lacking. Response times to emails were often slower than expected, sometimes taking several days, which created anxiety during critical negotiation phases. There was also a sense that his significant international profile meant our mid-sized corporate matter wasn't always his top priority. Billing was precise but felt rigid for the level of personal communication received. In summary, Pierre is undeniably a skilled attorney in transportation and aviation law, but for clients who prioritize consistent, proactive updates and a highly accessible point of contact, the service level may not fully meet expectations despite the high-caliber legal work.
