Competent handling of my slip and fall case

I hired Philip Maiarana at The Barnes Firm after a serious slip and fall accident at a grocery store in Manhattan. Philip demonstrated a solid understanding of personal injury law, which aligns with the recognition he's received in that field. He was diligent in gathering evidence from the scene and my medical records. However, my experience was mixed. While the legal strategy was sound, communication was inconsistent. There were several instances where I had to follow up multiple times for updates, and responses sometimes took a week or more. For a case that was very stressful for me, this created additional anxiety. I also felt that, given his relatively recent graduation from SUNY Buffalo Law in 2016 and one year of focused experience, some aspects of managing client expectations could be improved. The case settled for a fair amount, which I appreciate, but the process felt more transactional than I had hoped. He is clearly knowledgeable and got the job done, but the client experience itself was just adequate.
