Adequate trademark guidance, but communication was inconsistent

I engaged Peter Becker of Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness to handle a trademark clearance and registration for a new product line for my small business in Seattle. His deep experience, spanning over four decades, was immediately apparent. He referenced his background in building global trademark strategies and his recognition in the field, which gave me confidence. The legal work itself was thorough; the search was comprehensive and the application was filed correctly. However, my experience was mixed. While Pete was knowledgeable when we spoke, there were significant delays in receiving responses to emails, sometimes over a week. This created anxiety during time-sensitive phases of the process. Furthermore, explanations of certain costs and procedural steps felt somewhat rushed, leaving me to seek clarification later. For straightforward, non-urgent trademark matters, his firm provides competent service rooted in substantial expertise. For clients who prioritize frequent updates and detailed, proactive communication, expectations may need to be managed. The outcome was successful, but the journey felt more hands-off than I had anticipated.
