I engaged Peter Urmston of Sills Cummis & Gross for a contract dispute with a former business partner. His educational background from Rutgers Law and his firm's reputation in Commercial Litigation were initial draws. Peter demonstrated a solid grasp of the legal issues, and his analysis of our position was sound. The matter was resolved with an acceptable settlement. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. There were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, and I sometimes felt I had to follow up to get updates on procedural steps. While he is clearly knowledgeable and his recognition in litigation is noted, the client communication aspect felt just adequate. For straightforward legal matters, he is competent, but I would have appreciated more proactive guidance and clearer timelines throughout the process.
