Competent construction law advice, but communication could improve

I hired Mr. Angelov from Bradley Arant Boult Cummings to handle a payment dispute with a subcontractor on a commercial project in Nashville. His background in construction law and his recognition in that field were evident; he understood the nuances of the contract and Tennessee law immediately. The outcome of the matter was ultimately satisfactory. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While his legal analysis was sound, there were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, leaving me to manage client concerns without updates. For straightforward construction issues, his eight years of experience and focus on both litigation and transactions are solid. I just expected more proactive communication from a firm of this caliber.
