Paul Sykes handled a software licensing dispute for my company. His deep knowledge of intellectual property law, backed by his 27 years of experience and recent Lawyer of the Year recognitions in Birmingham, was evident in his strategic advice. His background in electrical engineering from Auburn was particularly helpful for the technical aspects. However, the experience was mixed. While the legal outcome was satisfactory, there were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, and some of the billing explanations lacked detail. For straightforward IP or trade secret matters, his expertise at Bradley Arant is solid, but managing client expectations proactively could be better.
