Paige Ryterski at Merel Family Law handled my post-divorce child support modification. Her knowledge of Illinois family law is evident, and I appreciated that she is recognized by Best Lawyers in this field. She was thorough in preparing the necessary filings and understood the nuances of the Cook County court system. However, my experience was mixed. While the legal outcome was satisfactory, there were significant delays in getting responses to my emails, sometimes waiting over a week for a reply on time-sensitive matters. I sometimes felt like I had to follow up repeatedly to get updates on my case's status. For straightforward legal matters, her expertise from John Marshall Law School and her recognition are clear assets. Yet, the overall client experience felt transactional, and managing expectations around communication could be improved. She is undoubtedly capable, but the service aspect didn't fully match the legal competence.
