A solid, experienced attorney for complex environmental matters

We engaged Mr. Gidiere at Balch & Bingham for a complex compliance issue related to a property acquisition with potential soil contamination. His deep knowledge of Alabama environmental law, backed by nearly three decades of experience, was immediately apparent. He was clearly the expert in the room during negotiations with regulatory agencies, and his recognition as a 'Lawyer of the Year' in this field is well-deserved. Our matter was resolved satisfactorily. However, for a 3-star rating, I must note that communication sometimes lagged, with responses taking several days during critical phases. While his legal analysis was thorough, the process felt less collaborative than expected, and fee structures could have been clearer upfront. He is undoubtedly a competent attorney for high-stakes environmental work, but client service aspects felt merely adequate.
