A formidable advocate in complex commercial litigation

I engaged Nicolas Werle at WilmerHale to represent my company in a high-stakes breach of contract and fraud dispute. From our first meeting, his deep analytical skills were evident. He possesses a rare ability to distill complex financial and legal issues into clear strategic options, a talent I suspect is honed by his dual background from Yale Law and the LSE's Risk and Finance program. His recognition in commercial litigation is well-deserved; his preparation was exhaustive, and his arguments in pre-trial motions were incisive, which significantly narrowed the issues and positioned us favorably. The opposing counsel was clearly outmatched. While the outcome was excellent, there were moments where communication lagged slightly, perhaps due to his demanding caseload. That said, when we did connect, his focus was absolute. For anyone facing serious commercial or white-collar legal challenges, Nicolas combines intellectual rigor with practical courtroom savvy.
