In more recent years, Ms. Dougherty's practice has included and focused on representing for-profit foundations that support institutions of higher education including the University of New Orleans Foundation, the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation, Inc.
and the Southern University System Foundation. Ms. Dougherty’s practice also has involved general real estate matters and title examinations, including mineral title examinations.
Most recently, she has assisted clients in qualifying and in filing applications for small business loans pursuant to the SBA's Paycheck Protection Program under the CARES Act. Ms. Dougherty is active in several nonprofit organizations, including currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board for the LSU Museum of Art and previously serving as Chairman and a board member of Friends of Magnolia Mound and as a board member of Friends of the LSU Rural Life Museum.
