Adequate representation for a complex divorce

My divorce involved a family business and significant assets, so I sought out Mitch Reichman based on his Board Certification and recognition in family law. His 43 years of experience were evident; he understood the financial intricacies immediately and his strategic advice during mediation was sound. We ultimately reached a settlement, which was the goal. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. Communication was a consistent challenge—responses to emails often took several days, and updates were infrequent unless I initiated contact. While I acknowledge his Lawyer of the Year recognition in mediation for 2022, the process itself felt slower than I anticipated, with some delays attributed to his caseload. For someone with his expertise at Jaburg Wilk, I expected a more proactive and communicative partnership. He is undoubtedly a knowledgeable attorney who can handle high-conflict cases, but managing client expectations and accessibility could be improved. The outcome was fair, but the journey to get there was more frustrating than I hoped it would be.
