Expert guidance through a complex employment investigation

Our private school faced a sensitive internal investigation involving allegations of misconduct by a senior administrator. The situation was fraught with potential legal pitfalls and reputational risk. Miriam McKendall was recommended to us, and her deep expertise in both education and employment law was immediately apparent. She guided our board and leadership team through every step with clarity and strategic foresight. Her 16 years of experience, particularly her recognized work in employment law management, gave us immense confidence. She helped us navigate the investigation, employee interviews, and eventual resolution in a way that protected the institution and was fair to all parties. The outcome was solid and avoided litigation. While her counsel was worth the investment, the billing structure for a firm of Holland & Knight's caliber did require careful budget management on our end. Overall, Miriam is a consummate professional who we would engage again without hesitation for complex institutional matters.
