I engaged Michele Bresnick Walsh to assist with the formation and initial capitalization of a new family-owned business in Baltimore. Her credentials are undeniably impressive, including her recent recognition as Lawyer of the Year and her long tenure at Gordon Feinblatt. She provided solid, technically correct advice on the corporate structure and securities considerations, which gave us confidence. However, for a 3-star rating, the experience felt somewhat transactional. Given her leadership role as Chair and CEO, accessibility was a challenge; responses to non-urgent emails often took several days, and we primarily worked with a junior associate. While the legal work was proficient and her expertise in corporate law is evident, our expectations for direct communication and proactive guidance from an attorney of her stature were not fully met. The outcome was satisfactory, but the process felt less personalized than we had hoped.
