A solid, experienced attorney for securities matters

I engaged Michael Rosella at Paul Hastings to assist with a complex regulatory review for a new mutual fund product. With his 44 years of experience and recognition in Mutual Funds and Securities law, his technical competence was never in question. He provided a thorough analysis of the SEC compliance issues, and his deep knowledge of the field, honed since his Fordham J.D. days, was evident. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the final work product was sound, communication sometimes lagged. Responses to emails could take several days, and there were instances where I felt I had to follow up to get status updates. For straightforward, high-stakes securities work, his expertise is a definite asset, but be prepared to manage the process actively. He is undoubtedly a knowledgeable practitioner, but the client service aspect felt merely adequate.
