A competent defense in a complex product liability case

Our company retained Mike Cash at Liskow & Lewis to defend us in a multi-district product liability litigation here in Texas. With his 15 years focused on mass tort defense, his deep understanding of the procedural complexities was evident. He built a solid, fact-driven defense strategy that was appropriate for the scale of the allegations. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While Mike himself is clearly knowledgeable, communication from his team was sometimes slower than we'd have liked, with responses to non-urgent inquiries taking several days. Billing summaries could also be more detailed. He successfully managed the case to a reasonable settlement, which was the goal, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative at times. He’s a capable attorney for the job, but set clear expectations on communication protocols upfront.
