Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

I engaged Michael Fenerty of Willig, Williams & Davidson to assist with a complex child custody modification. His three decades of experience in family law, particularly his recognition by Best Lawyers, was evident in his strategic approach to my case. He clearly knows the Philadelphia family court system inside and out. The outcome we achieved was fundamentally sound and protected my parental rights. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. There were often significant delays in receiving responses to emails, sometimes stretching to several business days, which added to my stress during an already difficult time. While his legal advice was solid, I sometimes felt I had to be proactive in seeking updates rather than receiving them routinely. For straightforward legal matters, his deep expertise from Villanova and years of practice is a definite asset, but be prepared to manage your expectations regarding client communication and timeline management.
