Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

I hired Michael Kleinert at Stites & Harbison for a commercial contract dispute. His deep experience, including his recognition in Commercial Litigation by Best Lawyers, was evident in his strategic approach to our case. He has a strong command of the law, and his 19 years of practice, particularly in Louisville courts, provided a solid foundation. Ultimately, the matter was resolved satisfactorily. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal at times. Responses to emails could be delayed, and there were instances where I had to follow up for updates on procedural steps. While his legal expertise is not in question, and I would acknowledge his skill in appellate and malpractice defense areas, the client communication and management of expectations were just adequate for the premium rate.
