We engaged Michael Goler at Buckley King to assist with a complex commercial lease negotiation for our small business in Columbus. His background in real estate law, including his recognition by Best Lawyers in that area, gave us confidence. His 12 years of experience and knowledge of Ohio commercial finance law were evident in the final documents, which were thorough and protected our interests. However, the experience was mixed. While the legal work was solid, we often experienced significant delays in receiving responses to emails and calls. At times, it felt like we had to follow up multiple times to get updates, which added stress to an already tense negotiation. For straightforward legal matters, his expertise is clear, but if you require frequent communication and proactive updates, you may need to set very clear expectations from the start. He is certainly capable, but the client service aspect didn't fully match the quality of the legal drafting.
