Competent on M&A, but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Mel Pudig at Pillsbury for guidance on a mid-sized asset acquisition for my tech company. However, the experience felt a bit uneven for a firm of this caliber. There were periods where communication lagged, requiring multiple follow-ups on my part, and some explanations of complex terms felt rushed. While the legal work was technically proficient and the deal closed successfully, the overall client service felt more transactional than collaborative. For straightforward M&A matters, Mel is certainly capable, but managing expectations around responsiveness would elevate the experience.
