I engaged Mehmet Munur at Taft to assist with drafting and negotiating a complex SaaS agreement for my Columbus-based software company. His deep knowledge in technology law was evident; he had a firm grasp of the data security clauses and liability limitations that were critical for our business. His background in IT outsourcing and privacy law, which his profile highlights, was clearly an asset during these discussions. The final contract was thorough and professionally crafted, providing solid legal protection. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While the substantive work was good, there were noticeable delays in receiving drafts and responses to my follow-up emails. At times, I felt I had to chase for updates, which added stress to an already tense negotiation process. His explanations of certain legal nuances, while accurate, were occasionally delivered in a way that assumed a higher level of baseline knowledge than I possessed. For straightforward matters within his recognized expertise, he is certainly capable. Yet, for a client who values consistent, proactive communication and clear, accessible guidance throughout the process, the service felt merely adequate. The legal product met expectations, but the client experience did not fully match the caliber of his technical reputation.
