Expert guidance on a complex cross-border estate plan

My husband and I engaged Maureen Berry to help structure our estate, which involved assets in both Canada and the United States, as well as shares in our family corporation. We were particularly impressed with her deep knowledge of international trusts and private corporation taxation. Her 11 years of experience were evident as she navigated the complexities with clarity, explaining our options without overwhelming us with jargon. It's clear why she's recognized in trusts and estates and tax law. The plan she developed for our wills, trusts, and executive compensation components is robust and gave us tremendous peace of mind. The only slight drawback was that during the busiest periods, response times to non-urgent emails could stretch to a couple of business days, but her thoroughness when we did connect more than made up for it. We highly recommend her office for sophisticated estate planning needs.
