A capable litigator, but communication could be more consistent

Matthew Richardson at Wyche PA handled our business's complex contractual dispute. His deep experience in South Carolina civil litigation, evidenced by his recent Lawyer of the Year recognitions, was clear. He was thoroughly prepared and his strategic advice during settlement negotiations was sound. However, the experience was somewhat uneven. While he is undoubtedly knowledgeable, we sometimes experienced delays in receiving responses to emails, and updates on case progress were not as proactive as we would have liked. For straightforward legal matters requiring his specific litigation expertise, he is competent. Just be prepared to manage expectations around communication timelines.
