Richard Lewis
Our company engaged Matthew Kent and his team at Alston & Bird when we faced a significant antitrust challenge from the DOJ regarding a major acquisition. Matthew’s deep expertise in bet-the-company litigation was immediately evident. His strategic guidance, grounded in his role as co-leader of the firm's Antitrust Team, was invaluable. He didn't just litigate; he provided clear, business-focused counsel that helped us navigate the complexities of the investigation while keeping our broader corporate objectives in view. The outcome was favorable and preserved the strategic value of the deal. The one area where we occasionally felt some strain was in the pace of communication from junior team members during peak periods, though Matthew himself was always accessible for critical matters. I would confidently recommend him for any complex antitrust matter in Atlanta or nationally.
