A knowledgeable and steady hand through a complex construction dispute

I engaged Matt Reilly at Erickson Sederstrom to represent my small contracting company in a significant payment dispute with a general contractor. From our first meeting, Matt's dual background in finance and law was immediately evident. He methodically broke down the complex contract language and project accounting, which was invaluable. His 16 years of experience, particularly his recognized expertise in construction law, gave me great confidence. Matt was pragmatic and strategic, focusing on a resolution that made business sense, not just legal sense. He successfully negotiated a settlement that covered our outstanding invoices and avoided a protracted, costly court battle. Throughout the process, Matt was always professional and clearly explained our options. The one area where I sometimes wished for more was in communication speed; during particularly busy periods, responses could take a day or two. That said, when we did connect, he was fully prepared and focused. I would absolutely recommend Matt to any business in the Omaha area needing clear-eyed legal counsel for construction or general business matters.
